Psychological Testing

Psychological Testing or Assessment is a specialized area of practice that uses empirically valid testing instruments to collect scientific data that help us identify and solve problems. At Watermark we offer general Psychological testing for children, adolescents and adults. We also offer specialized testing in both Forensic and Medical Evaluations.

  • Forensic evaluations are specialized testing projects usually requested by Attorneys or the Court. The types of Forensic assessment we can provide are:

    • Parental Capacity Evaluations

    • Psychological Diagnostic Evaluation/IME

    • Competency to Stand Trial Evaluation

  • Our health psychology specialist can conduct pre surgical evaluations and other relevant psychological assessment that may enhance an individuals health care.

  • The testing process is uniquely crafted for each individual client. The client will meet with the clinician for an initial appointment to discuss the problem and goals of testing. The client will usually come back to our office on a separate day to complete the tests, which usually require a few hours to complete. Testing is typically administered by one of our psychometricians who are psychology doctoral students. Once testing is completed, a report will be prepared and a follow up visit will occur to fully discuss the results.

  • The cost of testing varies based on what is required to complete the testing process. We provide you with a "no surprises" up front cost that covers the whole process. Testing costs range from $500-$3,500. Costs include intake, feedback sessions and reports.
